Shoe Palace has officially unveiled its new “Nine Three” flagship concept on Melrose Avenue, continuing its expansion of elevated retail spaces across key cultural hubs.

The Melrose location marks the fourth of seven planned Nine Three flagships, with the concept designed to reflect both the history of the brand and the energy of its surroundings. Positioned on one of Los Angeles’ most recognizable retail streets, the store draws directly from Melrose’s mix of fashion, street culture, and community-driven shopping experiences.

Inside, the space leans into a more refined design language than traditional sneaker retail. Custom stone and marble finishes are paired with botanical prints and layered wall treatments, while soft tones of blush pink and mint green break up the otherwise neutral palette. The layout is intentional, with a focus on flow and presentation rather than density.

A key feature of the store is a private, speakeasy-inspired lounge, a nod to California’s Prohibition-era design cues. The space is designed for events and select experiences, giving the flagship an added layer beyond standard retail. It also reinforces the store’s role as a platform for launches, collaborations, and limited releases.

“Melrose Avenue has always been one of the most influential destinations for style and culture,” said Shoe Palace Co-Founder, CEO and President Ralph Mersho. “Our new Nine Three flagship unites heritage, innovation, and style in a way that’s authentic to California, past and present.”

The store carries a full range of men’s and women’s product, including key releases from brands like Nike, Jordan Brand, and adidas. Alongside product, the space is positioned to host exclusive drops and community-focused activations tied to the Melrose location.

Founded in 1993, Shoe Palace now operates over 250 stores across 13 states. The Melrose “Nine Three” flagship reflects the retailer’s continued push into more experiential retail, blending product, design, and culture into a single space.
