MADNESS, an independent Chinese label founded by actor Shawn Yue in 2014, is the latest brand to breathe new life into the Ultra BOOST, with these macabre new pairs.

Two pairs are on the way, the white pair with fresh blood-red splatters over the upper, the other a monochrome version, looks like you’ve either stepped off a murder scene — or a painters studio. Keeping the spooky vibes on point is the MADNESS branding and their phrase “all work and no play makes you mad”, channeling the psychotic Jack Torrance from Stanley Kubrick’s The Shining.

Finishing off the design is color-matched leather to pump up the midfoot cage, as well as a soft suede heel panels and a black full-length BOOST midsole and matching rubber outsole.

Both the black and white MADNESS x adidas UltraBOOST 4.0s have not received a release date, but we’re expecting the duo to arrive at select adidas retailers and online at adidas.com over the next few months.

Stay tuned for release info, detailed looks at the White pair, and our comprehensive Where to Buy guide.
