The Air Jordan x Nike Icons Collection is Unveiled

Three icons collide.

Jordan Brand and Nike have officially unveiled their Air Jordan x Nike Icons Collection inspired by Tinker Hatfield’s career as an architect who would go on to revolutionize both Nike and Air Jordan signature line.

Beginning his reign as the lead designer for the Air Jordan line with the Air Jordan 3, Tinker’s illustrious portfolio of work now inspires a new collection of heritage-filled retro styles.

AIR JORDAN 3 X AIR TRAINER 1

The 1987 Air Trainer 1 introduced cross training to the world and jumpstarted a new category for Nike.

The groundbreaking Air Trainer 1 is most recognized in its unique “Chlorophyll” colorway. A colorway that was seen everywhere from tennis’ most competitive courts, to the feet of none other than His Airness himself.

Now in 2018, the Air Jordan 3 is introduced in a look directly inspired by the “Chlorophyll” Air Jordan 3.

AIR JORDAN 6 X AIR TRAINER 2 SC

Released in 1990, the Air Trainer SC II was yet another cross-training staple laced up by MJ. Originally made famous by another multi-sport star, the design was quickly recognized for its reiteration of the midfoot strap, its unique molded collar and eye-catching colorway that came together over visible Air cushioning.

The latest Air Jordan 6 now harkens back to 1990, celebrating the Air Trainer SC 2 with a familiar white, infrared and grey colorway.

AIR JORDAN 8 X AIR RAID II

The Air Jordan 8 and Air Raid have long shared a close resemblance. Both geared for high performance hoops competition, each design featured unique cross-straps that locked down the foot for maximum support. For 2018, the Air Raid II’s unique graphics return to inspire this new take on the Air Jordan 8.

AIR JORDAN 10 X AIR HUARACHE LIGHT

The Air Huarache performance line featured several staple silhouettes. Among them is the Air Huarache light, a performance running model from 1994 that provided a lightweight take on Huarache-Fit technology. Today, the Air Huarache Light now lends its look and feel to another icon in the Air Jordan 10.
