Epic The Simpsons x Vans Capsule Releases August 7th

Running strong for an incredible 31 years, The Simpsons has quite simply become part of not only American culture but pop culture around the globe. Now, the longest-running scripted series in television history is linking up with Vans, another American-come global success, for footwear and apparel collaboration of epic proportions.

Well over a decade ago, the family was at the center of a Vans collaboration with renowned artist Kaws, but this Fall season, the family of five is commemorated in their natural state across a slew of footwear and apparel options. Homer, Marge Bart, Lisa, and Maggie and more feature in the capsule, which is headlined by a few notable drops. There’s a Sk8-Hi that features dual family portraits – one done in Matt Groening’s contemporary illustrations and the other in the family’s original stylings from the late 1980s shorts. There’s one with the three Bouvier sisters with chenille material adding the dimension to their signature curly locks — and they’ve even included some extra thread on Patty and Selma’s well-documented hairy legs. And then there’s our favorite, a Mr. Plow Sk8 Hi MTE 2.0 DX done up in the snow-shifters jacket aesthetic, complete with an advert flyer on the ankle.
