Despite no longer being the pinnacle of Adizero Running's roster of products, the Adidas Adios 1 played an important role in the Three Stripes' performance catalog. Throughout the last eight months, the silhouette's been reimagined for the lifestyle space via a number of inline and collaborative takes.
Different from Sporty & Rich's impending duo, the latest Adizero Adios pioneer features an all-over print across its upper. Silver-colored mesh bases and other overlays are replaced with faux pony hair from tip of the toe to lower heel. Leopard spots cover the bulk of the profiles, but a cow print enters the picture via strips around the forefoot and spine, as well as on the tongue. The result is a retro running-informed model that firmly enters the fashion-forward space thanks to the Adidas Originals division. In comparison to Wales Bonner's Adidas Neftenga, the leopard-and-cow-inspired style abandons the vibrant yellows and shimmering metallic tones in favor of something sure to draw in a fashionable audience.
Underfoot, the model retains its marathon-ready tooling, which has appeared on projects by Bad Bunny.
