The adidas Running Family has dominated major marathons throughout 2026, showcasing just how ahead of the competition its innovative Adizero Adios Pro Evo 3 is. Lucky for us, we don't have to be elite runners like Sabastian Sawe in order to take advantage of of the brand's advancements in running technology; instead, we can enjoy the more accessible Adizero Adios Pro 5 marathon racing shoe.
Launched ahead of the 2026 Berlin Marathon, the Adios Pro 5 is the long-anticipated update to the Adios Pro 4 and the first consumer-grade adidas Running shoe to feature the same ENERGYRIM technology used on the Adios Pro Evo 3 to break the 2-hour barrier in a sanctioned marathon.
The Adios Pro 5 debuted in an eye-catching "Solar Turbo" color scheme, which has left an impression on savvy racers and curious casuals alike. And while the near-fluorescent pair isn't going anywhere anytime soon, it's already gotten company as the Three Stripes launches more colorways of its $275 racer.

adidas isn't a sponsor of neither the Chicago Marathon or New York City Marathon, but it launched two capsules inspired by both cities. Apparel saw some fanfare, but the star of each range is arguably the accompanying Adios Pro 5 colorways. Both limited-edition pairs feature a mix of direct and subtle nods to both major marathon-hosting cities.
As with the launch colorway, these and future releases of the Adizero racing shoe include all the performance benefits on which the Three Stripes spent years testing: LIGHTLOCK 2.0 upper, latest-generation LIGHTSTRIKE PRO foam midsole, re-engineered outsole that combines LIGHTTRAXION and Continental™ rubber coverage, and the aforementioned ENERGYRIM stiffening element.
More Adios Pro 5 releases should take place during Spring/Summer 2027.
Keep an eye on adidas.com as pairs will be added without notice. The Adizero Adios Pro 5 is priced at $275 in sizing for Men and Women.
