Unless they’re owned by the same parent company, it’s very rare for footwear brands to cross-collaborate. But with a shared interest in keeping the earth green, the partnership between Adidas and New Zealand’s Allbirds is a perfect match. Back in mid-2021, the two unveiled a brand-new undyed performance runner, the FUTURECRAFT.FOOTPRINT, in aim to combat and educate the impact of footwear on the earth. Whilst the debut undid option was not of everyone’s ideal taste, the two have reunited for a colorful new option to kick off 2022.
While their un-dyed process is still employed at the upper’s base, its reinforcing, non-virgin thread introduces some vibrance in warm hues of orange and volt. There’s stark black co-branding at the midfoot, and most importantly, a stamp marking the incredibly low 2.94 kg CO2 emission figure given off during the sneaker’s production.
