The Adidas Anthony Edwards 2 (AE 2) basketball sneaker is set to make its retail debut in early October. As such, the silhouette continues to emerge in official product photography, with the latest proposal arriving with a "Core Black/Zero Metallic/Lucid Red" color scheme.
Somewhat reminiscent of the "Stormtrooper" Anthony Edwards 1 Low, the newly-surfaced style doubles down on its use of black. Textile bases and plastic overlays around the forefoot and hind-foot claim more real estate than the off white "Zero Metallic," making any use of the Star Wars-inspired nickname loose. Ruby-colored flair animates the Anthony Edwards signature logo on the tongue, as well as the Three Stripes' Performance emblem on the spine.
Underfoot, the highly-anticipated Adidas Basketball sequel features a semi-translucent "milky" outsole that allows hoopers and non-hoopers alike to see the X-shaped torsion system they're working with.
Stay tuned for firm Adidas.com release details. The pair should drop by the Holiday 2025 season for $130.
