Adidas Basketball is celebrating a major milestone with Indiana University this basketball season, unveiling the Indiana University Centennial colorway at Hoosier Hysteria on October 18th. This special event, held annually at Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall, marks the start of the men’s and women’s basketball seasons and this year, it also spotlighted the longstanding partnership between adidas and Indiana University.
The Centennial colorway, which features the university’s iconic maroon and white, was introduced amidst a day filled with festivities. The event kicked off with a Homecoming Parade and featured a variety of adidas-hosted competitions, including a Three-Point Contest, Skills Challenge, and Knockout Competition. The competitions paired students with basketball players from both the men’s and women’s teams, fostering a spirit of teamwork and celebration under the adidas “You Got This” initiative. Winners of the competitions were awarded exclusive adidas x IU prize packs.
The celebration was further amplified by performances from the IU Cheerleaders and RedSteppers, with Indiana alum Tricia Whitaker serving as the emcee for the day’s events. Fans in attendance were treated to the first look at the new Centennial colorway, a tribute to the century-long legacy of IU athletics and its partnership with adidas.
The adidas Indiana University Centennial colorway is scheduled for a fall release and will be available for purchase on adidas.com, offering fans and alumni the chance to own a piece of this historic collaboration.
