The Three Stripes lives football unlike most other brands in the world. As it gears up for the starts of handfuls of domestic leagues, it's revisiting the Adidas Predator Elite for an all-new look inspired by the past.
Over the last year, the reimagined football boots have been at the center of important moments of "the beautiful game." The likes of Jude Bellingham have even gotten their own editions of the modern Predator design. And while it's unlikely the silhouette returns to the archives in the lead up to the 2026 FIFA World Cup, the iconic franchise once endorsed by David Beckham, Zinedine Zidane, and Alessandro Del Piero has returned to its signature black-and-red-heavy color scheme.

The earliest iteration of the Adidas Predator boot, which debuted in 1994, included a black, white, and red color scheme throughout its shot-oriented build. Most of the boots' vibrant elements, however, were relegated to the stud plate underfoot. Subsequent editions of the line indulged in more and optimally-placed hits of red, but it wasn't until 1998 that the tri-color palette became synonymous with the Three Stripes' marquee firm ground offering.
Future versions from the beloved series doubled-down on ruby colored flair via their fold-over tongues (FT), heel counters, and studs.
Adidas Football's latest edition of the current Predator Elite delivers a fresh spin on the aforementioned color trifecta dubbed "BSR" (Black/Silver/Red). Shimmering "Silver Metallic" replaces shades of white that have historically taken on profile 3-Stripes, as well as parts of the tongue, hind-foot, and plate underfoot. Est. 1994 text is printed onto the lateral collar, highlighting the franchise's origins; the same branding lands on the footbed. STRIKESKIN technology reprises its role across the medial forefoot and fold-over tongue, boasting eye-catching "Vivid Red" flair.
Underfoot, the CONTROLFRAME 2.0 platform reverts to a predominantly "Core Black" finish that allows for chrome-reminiscent pieces on the outside hind-foot and studs underneath the big toe to revel in the spotlight. Together, each component breathes new life into a classic design and aesthetic.
Enjoy official photos of the "BSR" Predator Elite boots ahead. Pairs should release via Adidas.com on August 12th, 2025, for a retail price of $300
