adidas seems to be making a push to bridge the gap between football and skateboarding—particularly as it relates to Argentina and Thrasher Magazine. Recently, Inter Miami's Rodrigo De Paul laced up a pair of Predator 26 boots made in collaboration with the storied skate publication.
Earlier in the month, Julián Alvarez, Máximo Perrone, and Nicolás Paz were spotted in t-shirts and crewneck sweaters that also featured Thrasher branding and skateboard motifs alongside 3-Stripes logos and callouts to the Argentine Football Association (AFA) ahead of friendlies in Buenos Aires. These apparel styles are likely part of a larger adidas Originals capsule that will also include football gear in order to build hype for the 2026 World Cup™ tournament.
Although most details remain under wraps, a linkup between Thrasher, adidas, and AFA bears semblance to Nike's Cryo Shot Federation Collection, which invites different fashion labels to work on football-inspired product with select national teams.
As the "skateboard bible" to many skaters in Argentina, Thrasher has earned its place within Argentine culture.

De Paul's preview of the skate-inspired adidas Predator showcases a predominantly black-colored set of boots. Thrasher-approved flames engulf the forefoot, introducing an Argentina-friendly gold-and-light blue into the mix that matches with the 2026 Argentina Home jersey. Golden "Thrasher Magazine" text appears on the right boot's fold-over tongue, while the left boot features adidas' Badge of Sport emblem.
If the scale of the Thrasher x adidas x Argentina collaboration is as big as some of the Three Stripes' other projects, expect the skate influence to appear on Copa and F50 boots, training apparel, and other items as well.
Predator 26 and other collaborative items are expected to release via adidas.com before June arrives.
