The Three Stripes continues to treat fans to classic styles from its expansive archive. The Adidas Jabbar Lo – the great Kareem Abdul-Jabbar's signature model from 1978 – has recently reappeared with a 'Grey' suede upper.
The focal point of Willy Chavarria's Adidas collaboration shown during last month's Paris Fashion Week, the Jabbar Lo falls in line with other popular offerings from the Adidas Originals roster. A straightforward, suede upper designed for basketball sets the stage for leather panels done in 'Ivory.' Shimmering 'Gold Metallic' flair arrives via branding on the tongue and spine, while inner lining keeps things as reserved as the profile 3-Stripes.
Underfoot, Abdul-Jabbar's first signature model with the Three Stripes features an old school sole unit. The herringbone-patterned traction still holds up today, but it's unquestionably outdated when compared to styles like Damian Lillard's 10th signature sneaker, the Dame X.
Enjoy official photos of the predominantly 'Grey' Jabbar Lo. Pairs are set to release via Adidas.com throughout spring for a budget-friendly $100.
