adidas Originals is recognizing Atlanta’s 404 Day with two footwear releases tied to the city’s history and ongoing cultural impact.
The adiStar Control 5 arrives with a focus on Atlanta’s running roots, incorporating color accents and graphic elements that reference the city’s role during the 1996 Olympic Games. With that milestone nearing its 30th anniversary, the design leans into subtle nods rather than overt branding.
Alongside it, the Superstar II takes a more material-driven approach. The pair features premium construction, crackled leather finishes, and understated archival-inspired color treatments, with quiet references to the same Olympic era embedded throughout.
The rollout is supported by Atlanta-based retailers Walter’s, The Athlete’s Foot, and Sole Play. Each partner plays a role in bringing the release to market with a localized approach, reflecting adidas Originals’ continued connection to the city.
The adidas Originals 404 Day adiStar Control 5 is priced at $120, while the Superstar II is set at $100. Both pairs are available now in limited quantities through participating retailers and select adidas channels.
