With June’s annual Pride Month fast approaching, footwear brands have begun to unveil their celebratory collections for the LGBTQ+’s biggest festival. Among those is adidas, who in 2021 have reimagined three of their most staple designs in vibrant, love-filled style. The Forum Low, Nizza, and Nizza Slip-On each arrive in their own unique arrangements but bring with them a common theme of united love.
For the Forum, floral embroidery appears all throughout the one-time basketball court staple, a detail missing from the accompanying and very colorful canvas Nizzas. All three feature “LOVE UNITES” messaging appears in various placements; the split-blocked Nizza Low doing so in overt fashion by stitching it in large thread across the lateral and medial sides. The Slip-On provides the pack’s most vibrant release, paring colorful soles and forefoot overlays that work from blur to yellow to orange and red, finishing with pink at the liner and purple and green in the rear. It also features a cast of characters on the midsole that further captures the spirit of the month.
