The iconic adidas Rivalry is notoriously known for tearing up the hardwood throughout the 80s. Thirty years on, the one-time Patrick Ewing signature sneaker steal rips it up — but not on the court. The streets adopted the sneaker early on, and thanks to a resurgence in 2019, it’s starting to reclaim its status as a streetwear staple. 2019 has seen everything from low-cuts to OGs to deconstructed takes, and now as we move into winter, the sneaker does too. Reworked for the back-end of the year, the Winterized adidas Rivalry TR keeps to its timeless aesthetic with a few added seasonal features. The full-grain leather uppers arrive overlayed with shaggy suedes, all of which are coated with a water-repellent finish for weather protection. Heavy-duty mesh arrives at the mid panels and tongue, while 3M accents provide high visibility during low light. Completing the design is an oh-so-seasonal rugged gum sole unit.
