The Three Stripes' Basketball team has been busy with new signature styles for its current roster of superstars. And while the brand has no intentions of slowing down innovation for the modern game, it's consistently looking to its past to breathe new life into old school silhouettes, creating new styles like the adidas Rivalry Mule.
A women's-exclusive slip-on inspired by the basketball sneaker from 1986, the Rivalry Mule is the German sportswear giant's latest proposal for easy-to-wear, laceless footwear. The Adilette slide continues to form part of spring and summer rotations, with the latest mule delivering a more robust package that enables fashion-forward color schemes.
A plush suede covers the entirety of the laceless silhouette, which has an exposed ankle area. Underfoot, the adidas Rivalry's original tooling is reworked to deliver some height. The traction pattern is reimagined with numerous trefoil logos for a lifestyle-approach to performance DNA.
