Far-removed from its days as a super light training model, the Adidas SL 72 is currently one of the brand's more popular styles amongst fashion-forward women.
Over the last year, the silhouette has emerged in a handful of original styles. Special editions and limited collaborations have also helped the old school offering honor its legacy while serving modern audiences. Ahead of summer, Adidas Originals will add another tally to the latter effort, prepping the SL 72 in two faux snakeskin makeovers.
Reminiscent of two recently-surfaced Women's Sambas, the impending duo features glossy, reptile-inspired panels across its uppers. Muted green and brown tones share the spotlight with off white accents via the profile 3-Stripes and Achilles' heel panels. "Gold Metallic" trefoil logos further elevate the reworked sneaker, while the sole unit underfoot maintains a classic build that fits in with current style trends.
Firm Adidas.com release details have yet to be disclosed by the brand, but that's expected to change soon. In the meantime, enjoy official photos of the snakeskin-donning SL 72 duo ahead.
