The adidas SL 72 debuted over 50 years ago, but it continues to have footing in the sneaker landscape.
Having recently appeared in a 'Cow Print' style exclusive to ASOS, the silhouette once promoted by Bella Hadid has just emerged in new styles ready for releases in March. Amongst them is a 'Collegiate Orange/Bright Blue' color scheme that bears resemblance to the iconic look of Dragon Ball Z's Goku.

While not an official collaboration with Akira Toriyama's legendary series, the two-tone SL 72 would fit right in with adidas' multi-pair Dragon Ball Z collection from the 2010s. A mix of nylon and suede appears across the upper, opting for a punchy hit of orange. Profile 3-Stripes and Achilles' heel panels interrupt the citrusy-look with their 'Bright Blue' flair. Underfoot, the old school sole unit keeps things simple, allowing for the pair's top-half to resemble Kakarot's iconic look in peace.
