Adidas Originals continues to breathe new life into the SL 72, a performance model from the early 1970s. Recently, the super light silhouette emerged in shades of "Magic Beige" and a fashionable double set of laces.
Reminiscent of miu miu's work with New Balance, the latest Adidas SL 72 features a nylon base overlaid with suede panels around the toe and across the heel. The sleek, low-top shape has made the decades-old design a go-to option for women (including Bella Hadid), and the two sets of laces enables a refreshing look that's experimental enough to separate fashion risk-takers from the masses.
The thick lace sets add visual bulk to the refined design, playing into the "Dark Brown" contrast that arrives in the form of profile 3-Stripes and Achilles' heel layers. Midsole compounds keep things tame in an off-white tone, while the serrated tread pattern reverts to the autumn-friendly color palette. Together, each aforementioned component helps create a simple, but compelling option for women.
