Adidas Originals continues to treat fashionable women across the globe to refreshing footwear styles rooted in sport. Recently, the Jennie Kim-approved Taekwondo emerged in one of its most elegant makeovers yet.
Effectively a training model from decades ago, the Adidas Taekwondo has become an it girl's sneaker of choice over the last two years. Its high-quality build, sleek design, and differentiation from the ubiquitous Samba have helped it have a successful retro run. Most looks on the trainer have opted for a simple two-tone upper supported by a "Gum" outsole, but its latest update brings a satin-reminiscent material to the forefront.
Officially clad in a "Crew White/Gold Metallic/Gum Four" color scheme, the impending launch maintains its taekwondo-inspired design intact. Quilted uppers, however, replace traditional leather with a delicate fabric that opts for an off white makeover. Profile 3-Stripes, shrouds on the tongue, and Achilles' heel panels also take on a "Crew White" look, allowing for the aforementioned embroidery to steal the spotlight. Akin to the Adidas Tokyo "Floral" duo that surfaced last week, a series of blue, red, orange, and green flowers are stitched onto the upper. Their "Gold Metallic" accents round out the special pair, which could also appear in a "Core Black" version.
