After previewing his upcoming collaboration with the Three Stripes on WWE earlier this year, Puerto Rican rapper Bad Bunny looks set to release his Bad Bunny x adidas Forum Low soon, with pairs having recently made their way to influencers and friends.
Though the silhouette stems from the hardwood, close-up imagery of the pair now shows a multitude of outside influences. To start, the color palette skews to light brown, cream, and tan tones of a traditional work boot-come streetwear staple. Utilitarian heavy-duty pulls, buckles and staps are plentiful — there’s even a set of interchangeable ribbon-pulled tongues. Bad Bunny then adds his cartoon bunny logo to the outsole, while branding labels on the tongue with “El Ojo” (“The Eye”) and likely some insole insignia to follow suit. Velcro components of the lockdown straps reveal a statement of the artist’s unapologetic attitude regarding his oft-criticized fashion sensibility: “YO VISTO ASí” (which can be translated into “I DRESS LIKE THIS” or “I DRESS THIS WAY”; the man has said it himself: Y.H.L.Q.M.D.L.G.). Furthermore, the family and friends pack, which arrives in an oversized burlap sack, arrives with a skate deck, roasted coffee beans and thermos set, and two extra sets of laces.
Update 03.11.21 A release for the Bad Bunny x adidas Forum “The First Cafe” has been set for March 17th, with pairs launching via adidas Confirmed in EU and North America for $160.
