Staying true to the sleek, subtle vibes that have become synonymous with the Fear Of God brand, this high-top sneaker is a minimalist masterclass.
For his basketball silhouette, we see it decked out in a dark, enigmatic black and beige, the design features high-rise midsoles inspired by traditional cup soles, engineered mesh uppers, and Predator-like profile caging for lateral support. A mid-rise collar is split between what appears to be elastic and neoprene, with tradtional lacing systems enhanced by a collar toggle — a modern twist on a traditional ankle strap.
Lorenzo's collection also boasts a new trainer, ostensibly inspired by the adidas Retropy, and a suede-clad high top that nods the classic Rivalry High.
As we look back on Jerry Lorenzo’s previous work with Nike — and more recently Birkenstock — it’s clear that the Adidas x Fear Of God collection follows a similar design ethos, reminiscent of the understated elegance found in their avant-garde and ultra minimal designs.
