adidas Presents a "True Pink" Women's Adistar XLG 2.0 Chunky Shoe

Although thin-soled, Mary Jane footwear continues to dominate Women's closets everywhere, chunky, comfortable shoes are also in style amongst bold fashion-enthusiasts. The adidas Adistar XLG 2.0 has won this crowd over thanks to its retro aesthetic and exaggerated proportions.

The adidas Originals proposal has gotten a lot of comparisons to the pricier VIRGINIA Jellyfish by Pharrell Williams—and understandably so—but the shoe is based on decades-old running heritage from the Three Stripes. Performance-first details have been reimagined for statement-making street style, making for a familiar look presented in a fresh way. The busy design has also made for a versatile canvas, which continues to host Women's-exclusive color schemes.

As summer gets going, the XLG design has emerged in an all-new "True Pink/Core Black/Pink Fusion" ensemble. The breathable mesh upper, its plastic overlays, and the chunky midsole underfoot all indulge in different shades of rosy tones, making for a perfect seasonal shoe; the vibrant adi sneaker could also make a statement year-round when paired with a smart all-black outfit.
