The "Silver" Adidas Italia 70s Makes a Strong Case for New Women's "It" Shoe
Adidas Originals continues to delve into the archives to revive classic styles for today's trends. The Italian 70s is the latest model to join the brand's expansive lineup of low-profile, thin-soled footwear.
Born over 45 years ago, the Adidas Italia could easily be mistaken for a handful of other models that've become popular over the last two years, but its Italia branding on the lateral hind-foot dispel any doubt as to its name. Previous releases have simply brought back original color schemes from decades ago, but a newly-surfaced pair indulges in a trendy "Silver Metallic" finish. Akin to the widely-coveted Onitsuka Tiger Mexico 66 "Metallic Series" seen earlier in the year, the Three Stripes offering features shimmering panels across its upper. Contrasting elements appear at the profile stripes, reinforcing X on the spine, and inner lining. The old school sole unit follows suit.
Firm release details for the "Silver Metallic" Italia 70 haven't surfaced yet, but that's expected to change soon. While you wait for an Adidas.com launch, enjoy official photos of the Women's sneakers ahead.
