Above The Clouds x ASICS GEL-QUANTUM 360™ Releases July 26
Australia's Above The Clouds might be a small operation down under, but the brand has left a huge mark on the sneaker space thanks to effortlessly cool collaborations with ASICS. Before July ends, the retailer will release its own take on the GEL-QUANTUM 360™.
The move coincides with the silhouette's 10th anniversary and follows a reintroduction to market by JJJJound. A bevy of inline, easily-accessible pairs are on the way, but Above The Clouds has been tasked with getting casual consumers excited for the retro runner, an effort that proved successful across several ASICS GT-2160™ projects.
Two different GEL-QUANTUM 360™ releases have been prepped by the Australian label, as revealed by Hartcopy. The specific inspiration behind both styles has yet to be disclosed by either party involved, but both options feature light-colored "skins" up-top wedged between wine-reminiscent red and pitch-black tones. ASICS' vector logos keep things simple, while eyelets introduce non-standard hardware into the mix. Above The Clouds branding appears on the right shoe's footbed, while the full-length, 360-degree GEL-cushioning lands underfoot in color palettes to match its respective uppers.
Enjoy an early-look at the latest collaboration between Above The Clouds and ASICS ahead. Pairs are currently slated to release via the Australian brand on Saturday, July 26. A global ASICS.com release could take place at a later date.
