Doublet Unleashes a T-Rex on the ASICS GEL-Quantum 360
If there’s one brand that refuses to play it safe, it’s Doublet. The Tokyo-based label has built its reputation on designs that feel equal parts fashion experiment and inside joke, and its return to ASICS proves that its imagination still has no guardrails. Following up a wildly creative debut collaboration, Doublet now shifts its focus from packaging parody to prehistoric spectacle, transforming the ASICS GEL-Quantum 360 into something that looks like it stomped straight out of another era.
At its core, the GEL-Quantum 360 is a performance-driven runner from ASICS’ 2010s archive, known for its full-length, exposed GEL cushioning system. Doublet strips the silhouette back almost entirely, replacing its usual layered construction with a dominant leather shell that carries a bold Tyrannosaurus Rex graphic. The dinosaur’s eyes stretch across the quarters, while its nostrils creep toward the toe, giving the sneaker an unmistakably animated, almost character-like presence.
The midsole is where the concept really locks in. The GEL-Quantum 360’s segmented cushioning units read like oversized teeth when viewed from the side, reinforcing the T-Rex theme in a way that feels intentional rather than gimmicky. A strip of textured red detailing bridges the upper and sole, subtly nodding to gums and raw muscle beneath the surface. It’s strange, theatrical, and unmistakably Doublet.

Even the packaging gets in on the act. A custom shoebox mirrors the sneaker’s visual cues, continuing the placement of eyes, nostrils, and teeth for a fully immersive presentation. Despite how aggressive the concept sounds on paper, the execution remains surprisingly cohesive, balancing novelty with enough structure to keep it wearable.
The Doublet x ASICS GEL-Quantum 360 “T-Rex” is scheduled to release on January 10th, 2026, via ASICS.com.
