BSTN to Host European-Exclusive Launch of the ASICS GEL-KAYANO® 12.1

ASICS is finalizing all the details for the inline launch of its GEL-KAYANO® 12.1. Before going global, however, the hybrid silhouette will drop in two colorways exclusively via BSTN for the European region.

Previously previewed by House of Heat°, the two impending styles feature green-and-yellow and blue-and-brown color palettes, delivering contrasting looks for different preferences. Their exclusive launch through the German retailer commemorates the ongoing relationship between ASICS and BSTN, and forms part of the latter's 10th anniversary celebration.

First seen via a collaboration with Kith, the GEL-KAYANO® 12.1 couples the GEL-KAYANO® 12's upper with the NIMBUS® 17's tooling. These components debuted in 2006 and 2015, respectively, but align with current footwear trends. The FLUIDRIDE™ midsole and visible GEL™ units provide tried-and-proven cushioning and a technical aesthetic that's infiltrated into the sneaker space with pairs like the Nike T90 Shox Magia and New Balance ABZORB 2000.

Pairs will be available via BSTN's digital shop and locations in Munich, Hamburg, and London on Friday, July 11. As aforementioned, BSTN is the only store in Europe scheduled to receive the two styles. A global ASICS.com launch should take place shortly after.
