Bandulu Reunites with Converse for Thread-Heavy Pro Leathers and Chuck 70s

It’s been six years between drinks, but Boston upcycle brand Bandulu is back in bed with Converse, this time taking their impeccable embroidery detailing over two offerings for February.

2015’s “First String” pack featured some lightly customized Chucks, but this time around the brand is going all-in on a Chuck 70 and Pro Leather. The former gets a little more daring than their freshman duo, with heavy-duty coffee canvas, fully-embroidered ankle star badges, and substantially more detailed finishes applied to the upper. The Pro Leather tackles a warming hue, too, appearing to be inspired by the humble Timberland, both bearing the wheat suede uppers and the darker, leather heel tabs. It’s embellishments are seemingly reserved for the collar and toe, while both pairs come clad with Bandulu branding hits at the tongue.
