Pigalle Encourages Movement Through Music and Sport with Two Converse Chuck 70 Lows
Founded in 2008 by Stéphane Ashpool, Pigalle has evolved to represent the ever-changing climate of Parisian youth culture though art, streetwear and, of course, sneakers. Now Pigalle is back with another message — move your ass — and he’s doing it through a two-piece pack of Converse Chuck 70 Lows.
A far cry from their obscene metallic gold effort on the silhouette in 2018, Pigalle’s pairs provide two alternating tones. One, very boisterous, depicting an electrifying stormy sky, the other arriving subdued in warm cream. The latter adds in subtle detail that mimics the lightning strokes found on the accompanying pair, while both rest atop white and mint green sole units — again, each an alternate version of the other. Completing the pairs are translucent outsoles that reveal a replication of the respective upper’s palate, and the brand’s message for the capsule — “The Power of Music to Move the World” — displayed proudly on the heels.
Of course, this is Pigalle we’re talking about, so the activation includes an outdoor hoops layout, which reinforces the pack’s movement denotation, this time through sport, at the center of the court.
A release date for the Pigalle x Converse Chuck 70 Low “Movement Pack” has yet to be officially unveiled by either party, but when more details become available, we’ll be sure to fill you in right here.
