Laid-back.
Last year’s disappointing playoffs performance by the Washington Wizards would lead many to think they’d come out fired up, motivated to take their team to the next level.
Instead, the Wizards have limped out of the gate, losing an insane seven of their first eight games.
The Washington Wizards need to give every single fan in attendance a refund.

In all fairness, they really haven’t been at full strength. Star recruit Dwight Howard only just returned to action last night for the first time this year against Thunder with gluteal soreness. However, whilst Howard is still battling soreness, it doesn’t look like his return will make much of a difference.
The Wizards were blown out against the Thunder, 134-111. And while Howard actually had a decent few minutes, scoring 13 points in the first quarter, his minutes restriction, along with his injury, is hamstringing the team. If he cant perform at his peak for a full 38 + minutes, the Wizards will continue to struggle.

That being said, Howard’s opening quarter gives Washington fans something to look forward to. But as the game went on, his soreness surely grew, and the Wizards watched the game slip away. Additionally, when Howard went back to the bench, he couldn’t even sit down; he had to lie on the floor in order to not aggravate his muscle ailment.

And this isn’t just a one-game thing, either.
Dwight Howard says he’s still dealing with the pain from his buttocks muscle injury and still can’t sit down. During games, he’ll have to lay on the floor.
He doesn’t know about playing under a minutes limit tomorrow.

The image of Howard lying down on the floor is merely a metaphor for the Wizards’ season so far. The team just can’t seem to get up, and the team’s spirit is just like Howard — lying flat on the deck.
