Brodie out here making kids years.
We’ve all been there as young sports fans. We go to our first game, take in the environment, and watch our favorite athletes play. However, it’s often rare to have an NBA star hand their game sneakers to you in the crowd. That’s what happened on Wednesday night, as point guard Russell Westbrook gave his shoes to a young fan following the Oklahoma City Thunder’s victory over the Cleveland Cavaliers. When speaking to the media, Westbrook expressed how much it means to him to make a child’s day and make a lasting impact on their lives.:

Westbrook went on to say that he never got the chance to attend an NBA game as a child, and wants to give children an experience that they’ll never forget.
While he says he can’t give away his shoes every game, he’s going to use his platform as much as he can to grow the game of basketball for the next generation.
