The Air Jordan 1 High OG ‘85 “Varsity Red” Releases Feb. 8th
“We’re Getting the Chicagos” —We’re not getting the Chicagos. “We’re getting the Breds” — We’re not getting the Breds. We’re getting these instead. And, understandably, people were a little upset about it. Unfairly, they took it out on this Air Jordan 1 High ’85 “Alternate Bred” AKA “Varsity Red”, when they really should have been taking it out on the sources who misreported the releases. Alas, you cannot deny a good Jordan 1 colorway, and with every fresh batch of shots we receive, we’re starting to notice the mood changing. People have accepted the non-drops, and are coming around to this all-new ’85-cut pair, which is really only 10 minutes of customization away from either the Bred or Chicago.
A release for the “Varsity Red” Air Jordan 1 High ’85 has just been confirmed by Jordan Brand for February 8th, 2020. Pairs are tipped to be very limited. with only 23,000 pairs said to be in production — about one-third of the numbers put out on the Travis Scott x Air Jordan 6drop. Take a peep at the images sets and original article further on, and for more updates on the release, including where to buy your pairs come Feb 8th, make sure you’re following us on Twitter!

OG Post 12.23.19 // Well, we may not be getting the Chicago’s for All-Star Weekend, but it looks like we’ll be getting something after all. No, not the Breds, but this Air Jordan 1 High ’85 “Reverse Bred”, which is rumored to release in February of 2020.
The pair’s color codes and blocking debuted a while back by-way-of @SHOF, but now a presumed first look at the pair from @soledebrief has given us a clear indication of what we’ll be getting. This Varsity Red, Summit White, and Black-colored kick bring with it some heavy PE vibes — perhaps an OG sample from the vault? We’re not entirely sure, but it definitely feels that way, especially after the “New Beginnings” pack, which features one of Mike’s first-ever exclusive colorways. It’s a similarity to the bred, save the red leather toe caps and eyelet overlays, has given the pair its nickname — and we’re sure that a lot of these pairs will eventually be customized to fit the OG colorway. It’s also important to note that these will arrive in the ’85 build, including a higher collar, slightly lager Swooshes and Wings, and a shape that’s a true 1:1 of the original
