Just Dropped // Air Jordan 1 Zoom Comfort “Gym Red”
When one thinks of a sneaker classic, it’s hard to look past 1985’s groundbreaking Air Jordan 1. Its influence is evident in the many adaptations and experiments that have been applied to the iconic silhouette from the lab in Oregon — so more successful than others. Primed to be one of the most successful adaptations yet, the Air Jordan 1 Zoom Comfort comes fitted with eco-friendly materials, reworked cushioning and retro toolings — and it now comes in a striking red suede finish.
At a quick glance, someone could be mistaken in thinking this latest addition was a run-of-the-mill release but on closer inspection, we see the predominately red shoe which is covered almost in its entirety in the luxe textile suede and offers a leisure-friendly option to anyone’s daily rotation. At the bedrock of the design, we have an all-white midsole which been fitted with a more sustainable Crater outer sole, that boasts recycled materials in a Nike initiative dubbed “Move to Zero”. Completing the design and displaying a beautiful contrast is the black swoosh, wings branding, and tongue that shows of a retro exposed foam which continues around the heel support.
