Michael Jordan's affinity for golf has been well-documented for decades. Today, following a weekend packed with magic on the green, his eponymous Jordan Brand imprint has unveiled the Air Rev, an all-new footwear proposal for the sport.
The silhouette leverages proprietary Nike, Inc. innovation in an attempt to revolutionize the next era of golf. Historically, the game has been slow to adopt when compared to other sports, leaving a gap for brands to push style and performance boundaries. Leaders in this space within the world of basketball, Jordan Brand has stepped up to the tee, delivering a product informed by both His Airness and Air Jordan line's winning legacies.
"The future of golf isn’t tied to its past," said Jordan in an official statement shared with House of Heat°. "For the next generation, it’s bolder and more modern. Jordan Brand Golf blends performance, innovation and iconic style, building a future where players, not the past, define what’s next."

The Jordan Air Rev pushes the boundaries of golf-ready footwear through two main components: A Flight Lock system and Air Zoom cushioning. The former enables a customizable fit that doesn't sacrifice containment. The Swoosh's industry-leading Air Zoom unit—found in the world record-breaking AlphaFly 3 marathon racer—keeps the trail foot locked in place, allowing for athletes to maximize efficiency with every swing.
In addition to the innovative golf shoe, Jordan Brand has prepped a number of apparel items that blend top-notch performance with sleek style. Together, the clothing and Air Rev disrupt the 18-hole-game, looking to the next half-century of the sport.
The Air Rev golf shoe and accompanying apparel collection will release via Nike.com/Jordan and select North American retailers on Wednesday, May 14. A global launch will follow shortly after.
