Based off SW’s scrapped sample.
Originally rumored to release this year, Sean Wotherspoon‘s scrapped blue sample pair of Air Max 97/1s has struck a chord with sneakerheads the world over. And now that the rumor has been quashed, getting your hands on the all-blue upper pair just became a trillion times more difficult. But Melbourne-based sneaker maker Chase Shiel has the next best thing — if not better.
Sheil has linked up with designer Fiamma Studios to craft a limited edition, handcrafted SW Corduroy “V2 Blue” custom sneaker, a pair that even has its first recipient Kevin Hart excited as all hell. This serves as a follow up to Chase’s OG-inspired pair from late last year.
Its use of different blue hues adds extra intrigue to the corduroy upper, and it arrives with a Tinker Jordan 3-styled interchangeable Swoosh system in yellow, light blue and navy. Custom Velcro Wave patches and three sets of laces give you even more option for personalization, and the pairs are capped off with ultra-lux finishes like red kangaroo leather insoles, washed-denim heel pull-tabs, and full leather lining.
