One could only imagine the number of ideas a collaborator would have going into a design with Jordan Brand, all of which are tested, refined, omitted and selected for the final retail release. SoleFly is no stranger to this process, with look-see samples a big part of their final product. Their recently-released Air Jordan 13 went through the rounds, too, but not all of them leaned upon the final UNC-inspired scheme.
Today we get a glimpse of that process, with SoleFly founder Carlos Prieto revealing a handful of samples from the release late yesterday.
You’ll see plenty of OG and PE inspiration, from “Flint” to “Brave Blue” — to a combination of the two — and a pair eerily similar to Q-Rich’s Air Jordan 13 “Magic” PE.
See for yourself below, and while none of these are expected to release to the market, you can find similar-colored pairs available now on aftermarket sites like StockX and GOAT.
