Official Looks at All-Star Weekend’s “UNC” Air Jordan 9

Homage to Home.

This year’s NBA all-Star weekend is a big deal for Michael Jordan — It’s his first time hosting the event as a franchise owner. And we know Michael. Not wanting to slouch, we know that Mike will put on the biggest and best event yet,

So it’s only natural for his beloved sneaker line to celebrate the event, too.

This year, Jordan Brand are paying homage to MJ’s Carolina roots in Charlotte, which is also the host city of the 2019 NBA All-Star Game, with a handfull of UNC-inspired retros.

Joining the Women’s aIr Jordan 1 Patent Leather is this Air Jordan 9, which draws a striking resemblance to 2002’s Air Jordan 9 Low “Pearl Blue”. There is also rumors that these will be joined by UNC-flavored Air Jordan 4s, Air Jordan 6s and Jordan Legacy 312s, but all three are yet to be confirmed.

As for this release, the Air Jordan 9 “UNC” is scheduled to drop on February 9th at select Jordan Brand retailers and Nike.com for $190.
