Queens-native rapper and culinary enthusiast Action Bronson is set to strengthen his sneaker collaboration portfolio with New Balance in 2024. Following the success of his New Balance 990v6 duo, Bronson has three New Balance 1906R releases lined up between April and June 2024.

The preliminary names for Bronson’s impending NB 1906R styles are “Medusa Azul” (a striking blue), “Scorpius” (a vibrant orange/yellow combination), and “Rosewater” (a delicate white/pink mix). Bronson revealed that the “Scorpius” pair will be the most exclusive of the three, with a possibility of being sold exclusively on his website.

This collaboration comes as New Balance continues to leverage significant star power behind the 1906R model. The silhouette, reminiscent of late-90s design, has been part of collaborations with notable names like COMME des GARÇONS and Aimé Leon Dore, and more recently, Salehe Bembury. Bronson gave fans a sneak peek of his take on the NB 1906R at the New Balance Paris Fashion Week party. Donning a bright royal blue Patrick Ewing Knicks jersey, he matched it with a vibrant yellow version of the 1906R, echoing the palette of his third iteration of the 990v6.

Bronson himself has just confirmed details on the collaboration's "Rosewater" release, earmarking May 31st as the drop date; the The Action Bronson x New Balance 1906R “Medusa Azul” will release on June 14, while the "Scorpius" colorway will release on June 7th.
