AURALEE x New Balance 550 Arrives August 20th

As has been the case for a lot of fashion labels for the past 12 months, Japanese imprint AURALEE unveiled their AW21 collection on the digital stage back in March. Amongst the gems on show was a collaborative New Balance 550 in an ultra-minimalist aesthetic that captured the heart and soul of the label’s ethos. Now, after months of waiting, word on its release has filtered through of a July 16th exclusively in Japan.
While simple in its execution, its finely-tuned restraint in awe-inspiring — we’d expect nothing less from the imprint. a tonal approach is taken to its aged-look panels, with several shades of sail slowly but surely fluctuating between panels and sole segments. Liners, laces, and leather tongues take notes, while branding in the back arrives in a solid black.

Update 07.21.21 Global retailers END will be dropping pairs of the AURALEE x New Balance 550 on August 20th. More retailers are expected to surface as we edge closer to the date.
