Coco Gauff's US Open Kit by New Balance Draws Inspiration from New York City
Following a first round victory over Ajla Tomljanovic in the US Open, Cori Dionne "Coco" Gauff and New Balance Tennis have shared official campaign imagery of their commemorative tournament gear.
Presented in visual materials creatively directed by Joe Freshgoods, Gauff's US Open kit draws inspiration from New York City's Uptown polish and Downtown edge. "Monarch Red" and "Urgent Red" share the spotlight across an Angora pleated skirt, athletic top, and New Balance Coco CG2. A custom leather varsity jacket joins the 21-year-old's walk-out ensemble. The special piece is embroidered with Gauff's iconic quote from her 2023 US Open Win: "To those who thought they were putting water on my fire, you're really adding gas to it. And now I'm really burning so bright right now."
The Boston-based brand has made it clear that Gauff's on-court apparel for the US Open will not be available for purchase, although the Coco CG2 and fresh styles of the budget-friendlier Coco Delray are currently available via NewBalance.com.
