DTLR and New Balance have consistently pushed the boundaries of collaboration in the sneaker realm. This alliance is recognized for curating influential designs, often masterfully breathing new life into the classic and emerging silhouettes from New Balance, with the 9060 being a prime example. Now, turning up the heat, they've unveiled their latest masterpiece - the 9060 Fire Sign, a follow-up to their previously released Glow rendition of the design.
The design channels the explosive power and raw beauty of an erupting volcano. Its palette paints a vivid picture with tones of red, orange, and silver, akin to the molten lava spewing from the Earth's core. This fiery cocktail is masterfully laid on a mix of suede and mesh. The gradient pattern serves as the design's centerpiece, featuring an intense orangish-red at the core that subtly fades into a radiant yellow towards its extremities. The suede overlays, drenched in a deep red, stand in bold contrast to the metallic silver accents adorning the toe, heel, and the signature "N" insignia on the flank. To counterbalance the intensity, black detailing on key areas like the heel counter, tongue, laces, and toe box bring a grounded touch. The shoe is anchored by the iconic 9060 midsole, featuring a black speckled design against a white backdrop in the heel region, paired with a classic black and white outsole.
Available exclusively at DTLR on November 17th, the design will be available for purchase in full-family sizing, priced at $180 for men, $120 for GS, and a friendly $100 for PS.
