DTLR and New Balance Return for a Second "Wild Style" 990v4 Release
DTLR has rejoined forces with Boston-based New Balance for a second-edition of their "Wild Style" 990v4, taking a more visually striking approach to color contrasting.
Dubbed the "Wild Style" 2.0, the New Balance 990v4 plunges into a kaleidoscopic pool of color, hinged on a sleek, monochromatic base layer. The sneaker's mesh underlays maintain a subtle greyscale aesthetic, allowing the jet-black suede panels above to command attention. This understated backdrop sets the stage for a riot of colors, allowing the diverse palette to pop truly.
The playful adventure through the color spectrum starts with energizing hits of yellow that bring life to the collar lining, tread, and the iconic mid-foot 'N' logo. Accents of sky blue and crimson provide an engaging contrast against the dark overlays, while lime green makes its presence known on the heel and tongue tabs. The midsole, however, is where the color narrative truly crescendos. It brings together a harmonious mix of violet, blue, and white, adding a final, compelling touch to this technicolor dream of a shoe.
Set to release on July 14th, the DTLR x New Balance 990v4 "Wild Style" 2.0 will be available in adult, grade school, pre-school, and toddler sizes, making this sneaker a statement piece for every member of the family.
