JJJJound Teases New Balance 990v4 "Cobblestone" Release

Justin R. Saunders and his JJJJound design studio in Montreal may have another New Balance project on the way.

Recently, the group's official Instagram account posted a picture of an unreleased New Balance 990v4 with the caption "V4 anyone?" The pair features a brown color scheme reminiscent of "Cobblestone" editions from JJJJound's Made in USA catalog.

Throughout the late 2010s and earlier 2020s, Saunders and company could not miss with their New Balance partnership. Although widely-criticized, each straightforward take on heritage-informed footwear contributed to the intentional discipline at the core of the Montreal-based design studio. With the NB 990v4 turning 10 in 2026, it's possible the experts in simplicity are working on the model as part of a larger anniversary celebration.
