Sure, the monochromatic makeups are minimal — but minimal is hard to do right. Junya has nailed both, with the triple black pairing featuring an intriguing placement of leather, mesh, and suede across the upper, while the tri-tone black/white/grey edition focusing on perfect blocking balance. The latter perfectly positions colors vertically (blacks and whites) and diagonally (greys) resulting in a sneaker I just can’t seem to detach my sight from. The triple black achieves a similar theme, utilizing the sheen of the leather, mesh, and midsole, sandwiching the matte suede of the mudguard.
