Ronnie Fieg has had an eventful week. He's been in Japan overlooking the grand opening of Kith Osaka, the latest destination in the ever-growing retail empire. And while he likely has other plans under wraps, he and his team have just surprise-dropped two New Balance 997.5 collaborations ahead of Easter.

Unveiled via Instagram by sneaker photographer extraordinaire, Tyler Mansour, the latest project between Fieg and the Boston-based institution opts for clean, mostly off-white looks. Premium leather and pigskin suede come together across the Made in USA offering, with breathable mesh interrupting at the toe box. Cream-colored laces appear on the pair, which sits atop a rather tonal ABZORB midsole. A second pair previewed by Kith Toronto's director, Jonathan Cran, employs faded pastels across the shoe. The sneakers arrive with spring-inspired additional laces and in an iridescent shoe box.

The unexpected NB 997.5 duo is a drastic departure from some of the recent styles linked to Kith. The New Balance 991v2 "Osaka" employed an iconic "Steel Blue" color palette to honor the brand's legacy in Japan, whereas a New Balance 2010 capsule takes on a number of vibrant hues not typically associated with the century-old footwear manufacturer. Regardless, the clean pairs further expand Fieg's impressive catalog, showcasing once again his mastery of product and roll-out.

Head over to the Kith App right now to secure the NB 997.5 "Easter Pack" in your size. You only have 24 hours to do so.
