The Liverpool FC x New Balance 1500 “Six Times” Celebrates Club’s Euro Cup Successes

New Balance’s High Court tiff with Merseyside club Liverpool might not have fallen in their favor, but before the EPL club’s migration to the Swoosh for season 2020, the Boston-based brand has a few more co-branded releases in store — hell, after that legal mess, I’d be selling as much LFC-branded gear that I could!

Next up is this all-black leather Made in England 1500 is a far cry from the brand’s first effort on the take-down 997H, but, like that low-cost offering, this pair too matches the club’s New Blanace-branded kits for the current season. The special edition kit dubbed ‘Six Times’ pays tribute to the club’s sixth European Cup titles, and it arrives in an elegant black with gold trim. Surrounding the iconic dragon logo on the breast are six gold stars, one for each trophy, which can be seen here embroidered on the lateral ankle. Profile N motifs, heel NB logos, medial ‘1500’ numbering, and Liverpool’s logo on the tongue also arrive in the stitched finish. Breaking up the all-leather base are two nubuck underlays at the vamp and toe, with bold contrast ushered in by way of a classic white/grey midsole and black rubber outsole. Completing the design are specially branded insoles that mimic the aforementioned kit breast logo.
