Following a money-inspired collaboration with Concepts, the New Balance 1000 is back to forming part of the Boston-based company's formidable inline catalog of offerings. Ahead of spring's official start, the old school runner has emerged in three vibrantly-colored leather makeovers.
A proper name for the collection hasn't been revealed by the brand as of yet, but the choice in colors—'Red,' 'Dragon Berry,' 'Team Royal'—evokes images of fast race cars and motorcycles. In any case, all three styles feature leather panels across the upper instead of synthetic or suede layers. Mesh bases informed by the NB 1000's performance origins reprise their roles, setting the stage for contrasting tones in either 'Off-White' or 'Black.'
N branding at the profiles further indulge in shades of grey, while reflective accents claim real estate along the sidewalls. Underfoot, the special pairs boast cushioning directly from 1999, when New Balance launched the silhouette for off-read excursions.
Enjoy detailed shots of the NB 1000 trio below. Pairs should begin rolling out via NewBalance.com and select stockists by mid-April.
