The New Balance 1000 "Metallic Silver" Releases July 10
In contrast to the loud noise surrounding the return of the New Balance 1000, its debut colorways have a relatively low profile. Still, its minimalist palettes and sleek design have resonated strongly with the sneaker community.
Following the trio of high-profile Aime Leon Dore-branded releases and a subsequent assortment of general releases, we're now introduced to the New Balance 1000 "Grey/Black," which further explores the silhouette's subtle yet impactful aesthetic.
This iteration adopts a decidedly tonal approach, fully enveloping the shoe in elephant grey. Its appearance resembles the earlier ALD collaborations, perhaps intentionally offering a similarly refined style for those who missed out on the limited editions. The materials return to the basics, featuring a dependable combination of leather and mesh that New Balance enthusiasts have come to expect. The design is sharply contrasted by embroidered branding in jet black at the heel, which complements the black outsole, punctuating the monochrome ensemble with a classic touch.
Currently available through New Balance’s China channels, the New Balance 1000 "Grey/Black" awaits a stateside release on NewBalance.com on July 10th.
