The New Balance 1000 Gets An "Ice Blue" Makeover for Summer 2025
Despite early collaborations with Aimé Leon Dore and Joe Freshgoods, the New Balance 1000 hasn't experienced the same mainstream popularity as other silhouettes from the brand's storied catalog. Nevertheless, the retro design has gradually built a healthy roster of inline styles, with a newly-surfaced ice blue pair likely to demand some attention.
Shared to social media by New Balance enthusiasts @lishunhangagain and @dane3fune, the NB 1000 is set to form part of the Boston-based institution's Summer 2025 collection. Official names for the offering's color palette are yet to surface, but porous mesh bases indulge in a cream-colored finish that also lands across the tongue, inner lining, and sole unit. Gaps throughout the upper are filled in with varying shades of light blue, with the bulk of the top-half's overlays opting for an ice-reminiscent finish. Profile N logos deviate in material and tone, bringing a glossy element into the mix.
Underfoot, the decades-old tooling keeps things mostly understated as to allow for the upper's ensemble to revel in the spotlight. Mid-foot shanks, however, bring some of the compelling blue hue from above to the outsole.
Enjoy an early-look at the unnamed New Balance 1000 ahead. Pairs should quietly hit NewBalance.com by August for $150.
