The New Balance 1000 is Back in Black (and White)
New Balance is continuing to build momentum with one of its most in-demand silhouettes, the 1000, which has grown in popularity since its return. This model, expected to feature in the brand's 2025 lineup, is already generating buzz, particularly with the upcoming collaboration with thisisneverthat. The 1000’s status as a sought-after design is only poised to grow further, especially with its possible inclusion in New Balance’s Lunar New Year collection.
The latest iteration of the New Balance 1000 comes in a no-nonsense black-and-white color scheme, giving the archival design a sleek, minimalist approach. The upper features a dual-layered white and black mesh, complemented by jet-black leather and nubuck overlays, adding a premium touch to the overall look. The all-black midsoles are bold, while icy rubber tread and grey tongue tabs offer some contrast and functionality. This combination of simple color blocking and thoughtful design elevates the 1000 to a contemporary level. From there, pops of white branding and accents at the midfoot, forefoot, and heel make a final statement to complete the design.
If these are part of New Balance's Lunar New Year offerings, expect a release early in 2025, continuing the strong momentum for the brand's revamped 1000 series.
